Where is Dr. Pigott’s office located?

Dr. Pigott sees patients in the Cardiology Clinic on the 4th floor of Tulane Medical Center.  He also sees patients in the Surgery Clinic on the 6th floor of Tulane Medical Center.

  • From the Tulane LaSalle Garage to the 4th Floor Cardiology Clinic or 6th Floor Surgery Clinic

After parking, take the parking garage elevator to the 2nd floor.  Upon exiting the elevator, proceed to your left and cross the elevated walkway.  At the end of the walkway, turn left into the 2nd floor lobby of Tulane Medical Center.  Directly in front of you there is an elevator bank.  Take the elevator to either the 4th or 6th floor.  Upon exiting the elevator, follow the signs to either the 4th floor Cardiology Clinic or the 6th floor Surgery Clinic.

  • From Valet Parking to the 4th Floor Cardiology Clinic:

After exiting your car, enter the medical center’s ground floor main lobby, the Reily Pavilion.  Toward the right is an elevator bank.  Take the elevator to the 4th floor and upon exiting, follow the signs to the Cardiology Clinic.

Where do we park at Tulane?

  • There are 2 secure parking garages – the Tulane LaSalle Street Parking Garage and the Tulane Saratoga Street Parking Garage – that are connected to the hospital by a covered walkway.
  • Valet parking is available on the ground floor driveway of the Reily Pavilion.
  • Free validated parking is available for patients with clinic visits.
  • Weekly parking contracts are available at a discounted rate from the patient relations office on the 2nd floor at 504-988-5934. Contracts are for the full 7 day period. The cost is $20/week with in and out privileges. An additional $10 refundable deposit is required for the parking card.

Where can my family stay while I’m hospitalized at Tulane Medical Center?

  • Deming Guest Housing – The Deming Pavilion is attached to the hospital via a covered skywalk. These smoke-free rooms are available to patient families. All rooms are outfitted with a television, telephone, internet connection, kitchenette (refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee maker) and a full bath. Sitting rooms are available in the one and two bedroom units. No maid service or room service is provided.

  • Local Hotels - Several area hotels offer reduced rates to families of Tulane Medical Center patients. Please contact Tulane Patient Relations for locations and rates at 504-988-5934.

Where can my family eat while I’m hospitalized?

  • Tulane Café is located on the 1st floor of the Reily Pavilion. Breakfast and lunch are available 7 days a week.

Can my family stay with me in the hospital after I have surgery?

  • The intensive care waiting rooms do not accommodate family members overnight. However, when you move to a private room, a family member may spend the night with you.

When are visiting hours?

Visitors can be good medicine for patients.  Family members and friends are welcome to visit.  However, patient care is our primary concern.  Please follow the guidelines below and contact the nurse on the unit if you have further questions.

  • General Visiting Hours: 12 noon – 9 pm
  • Intensive Care Unit Visiting Hours: 9 – 11 am, 2 – 5 pm and 8:30 – 10:30pm

General Guidelines for Visitors:

  • Visitors may not smoke in patient rooms or anywhere in the hospital. Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas.
  • No more than 2 visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time. Please be considerate of both patients in semi-private rooms.
  • Children under the age of 14 may visit parents only if approved by the nursing staff. Children must be supervised at all times and may be asked to leave if they become disruptive.
  • Visitors with a contagious disease should refrain from visiting patients.
  • Visitors must show respect for the privacy and rights of patients sharing a room.
  • Visitors should maintain a quiet environment, refraining from unnecessary noise.
  • During doctor or nurse visits, tests or treatments, visitors may be asked to leave the room.
