Chinese Physicians Visit Tulane

In late June, several physicians from Union Hospital in Wuhan, China visited Tulane to reaffirm academic and clinical ties.  Tulane physicians, Dr. Liu and his wife, Dr. Li were most generous as hosts for an evening dinner.

On June 29, 2010, Dr. Pigott traveled to Anniston, AL to proctor a cardiac surgeon in the totally thoracoscopic mini-maze procedure.

 

Teaching at Tulane

On May 24, 2010, a cardiovascular surgeon from Memphis, TN observed Dr. Pigott perform a totally thoracoscopic mini-maze procedure.

 

First “Hybrid” Mini-Maze in New Orleans

On March 29, 2010, Dr. Pigott and Dr. McKinnie performed the first “hybrid” totally thoracoscopic mini-maze procedure at Tulane Medical Center.

On March 15, 2010, Dr. Pigott returned to Syracuse, NY to proctor a cardiac surgeon in the totally thoracoscopic mini-maze.

 

Netherlands Visit

Many thanks to Dr. Mark LaMeir and his colleagues for their gracious hospitality in Maastrich, Netherlands. Dr. Pigott and Dr. McKinnie observed their “hybrid” mini-maze surgery for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.
