Dr. Pigott is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Tennessee School of Medicine. He completed a Surgery Residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and a Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency at the University of Pennsylvania.
He is certified and re-certified in Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Dr. Pigott is an active member of numerous professional societies, including the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the Southern Surgical Association.
